"11/19/23, friends met at 242 for a Thanksgiving gathering which turned out to be spectacular. Pham, as usual, did an amazing job with the dishes and layout he brought plus everyone brought something and ended up with a feast which easily fed over 100 people. Saw friends I have not seen in a while and a few I just met. Lindsey is our centerpiece and the main reason for most of us being there week after week even after they stopped serving food. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing each and every one, including Maggie who fired up the first cigarette at the bar. Miss those no smoking days. Ha! Legalize cannabis and perhaps we’ll all enjoy the smoke. Happy Thanksgiving."

"Update. (I can't believe that this restaurant is not selling food anymore. They just got rid of the crafttaps and now the food. Not a reason to go here anymore. RIP pub242) Great Food! The whole menu is Great! Whoever is in the kitchen is magnificent! Fresh seafood and Crawfish. Fish and Chips are legit! Also Crawfish! Cheese burgers are a destination menu item. My Cheeseburger was excellent yesterday and has been in the past. I had the bacon Cheeseburger yesterday! I actually hurt myself! I couldn't stop! Our waiter was very attentive but not intrusive. Only complaint is no decent ipa's on tap."
"Decent service. Really enjoyed the Oscar Mac n cheese. The ghost hazy ipa is good but only served in small batches. I would return."
"Was very pleased and impressed with the quality of food and drink aspects of the restaurant may not be up to par with some people who are exposed to more mainstream commerical brands all in all great customer service, food, and drinks and the game is on everywhere so you have no reason to complain not to rowdy so a family can go during the lunch time. Dont judge it from the outside it's the best bar in town along with the food."
