"My fiance and I are new Marfa residents. Although we will be full-time eventually, he is part-time right now and I am still based in Los Angeles. We never had the opportunity to use Marfa Meds and cannot comment on the former program, but I must say our experience with Prescription Shop has been nothing but wonderful. We've used them for 2+ years now. We had a prescription with another pharmacy in Alpine (25 miles away), but after a delay (pharmacist not available) in getting a refill, we realized it would be infinitely preferable to have our prescriptions filled in our hometown, and to support the most local pharmacy (Prescription Shop just opened in 2015; Marfa had not had a pharmacy in about 15 years.) Prescription Shop Marfa has been amazing. They do not take insurance, but their prices for common drugs are excellent and well worth the convenience. What I love: - Really honest explanation of their pricing, including volunteered information about cheaper options when available - Friendly, efficient customer service and how-can-I-make-it-work attitude - Prompt answering of phone and/or returning of calls - No-hassle offer to transfer Rx to the pharmacy of our choice in LA (we instead elected to have it filled in Marfa and mailed to us during our absence) - Rx was filled and mailed promptly and cheaply - it arrived within 4-5 days even over the Thanksgiving weekend. - Good adherence to days/hours of operation (which is no small feat in a small town with few backup options when life gets in the way of best-laid plans) We're fans...and I will have a few more Rx to bring once I relocate from LA."
