"My family and I walked in today expecting great service. Negative, the staff didn’t even greet us when walked in, the restaurant had an odor, and unwelcoming attitude. After this reaction, it was a major turn off and walked out. Pretty sure the food is disgusting as well. Don’t waste your time and money here. Possibly this place need to be shut down)."

"I've had many of the Chinese restaurants on the area and had very inconsistent experiences at all of them. I finally tried Hunan Chef and have finally found my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. I've eaten here now about 12 or so times and the food has always been consistently good. The hot and sour soup is easily top 3 best in the area. The steamed dumplings are some of the best I've ever had. Every entree I've eaten has been really good, even my kids have enjoyed the food here and they're not big fans of Chinese food to begin with. The service has always been top notch as well. I ordered from them via Door Dash, probably the 3rd or so time I had their food. Something was wrong with the way the order/pickup system. Someone picked up my order before the actual Door Dash employee got there. I didn't receive a call from Door Dash but rather a phone call from an employee at Hunan Chef and they told me about the issue and guaranteed that they'd take care of the issue themselves. They duplicated my order and delivered it extremely quickly. I was extremely impressed by this level of service since it technically wasn't even their fault someone else picked up my order. I see some negative reviews about this place but all-in-all my experience has been top tier with Hunan Chef and it's easily my favorite Chinese place in the area."

"This is the kung pao chicken I ordered. It was peanuts, celery and carrots. The hot n sour soup tasted 19 days old as it was made the first of the month and had a heavy accent of metal. The staff was quick to make my meal but the meal itself was not good. The egg roll was cold in the center and the pork in it was as white as a tissue. They had decent fried rice."

"We ordered Uber eats from this restaurant. The sesame chicken was great, but everything else was lacking. There was barely any broccoli with my sesame chicken. The fried rice is just rice. Minuscule bits of egg and no vegetables, also lacking in flavor. Additionally, both the egg drop soup and hot and sour soup were oddly vicious."

"I've ordered twice thru Door Dash and I was impressed with the taste and quality. I came in person and was not disappointed either. They had a machine to place orders which was quick and easy. They brought my order as ordered and the employee was professional and friendly. The place is small but very cute and clean."
