"Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here! Visited on a Saturday night and would highly suggest making a reservation far in advance. Luckily for pairs of two, doesn’t seem difficult to find sitting at the bar top right away. But our walk in table was not ready until we had finished our meal at the bar. Anyways! I had the coma la flor, I loved it! Thought the giant hibiscus ice cube, while esthetically pleasing, made the drink a little difficult to consume. We shared the las Estrellas flight and it was fun! Loved the orange peels with cinnamon topping. The hamburger was amazing, loved it, had it prepared medium. The sauce really complimented the yucca fries. I was a little disappointed with fajitas. They don’t come on a sizzling skillet, which I’ve become accustomed to being a part of the experience. The rice was good but the beans lacked flavor. The staff was very attentive! Manager picked up our dishes, a girl waiting for her drinks at the well topped our waters, and all three bartenders were on it. Would definitely come back. Oh. Also, queso blanco was amazing!! 10/10 and I’m a queso expert."

"If you have been you know it's a whole vibe! If not, you better go. Why? Tequila! Tequila! Tequila! plus the food and service is great. If you want to take a quick trip try the Margarita Flight, so yummy. Love, love, love it here!"

"I’m not sure if this qualifies as Tex-mex as that was on my list for places we had to try when visiting Texas. But this place was really lovely. The salad was refreshing, 5 pieces of shrimp and three nice sized tacos. We left full and happy - great service and a lovely atmosphere. Not sure we’d hit this place again if we were visiting but was glad we came!"

"I recently dined at this Mexican restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the inviting ambiance and perfect lighting, enhancing our dining experience. The standout dish was the cilantro lemon rice, bursting with flavor in every bite. Their tacos struck the perfect balance between soft and crispy, accompanied by exceptionally tasty shrimp and chicken. While the Tres Leches cake was a tad sweet for my taste, the chocolate cake was an absolute delight. Highly recommend!"

"At Mexican Sugar, the enchiladas were a standout, served with a rich, flavorful sauce and just the right amount of cheese. The accompanying rice and beans were well-prepared and complemented the main dish beautifully. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting, with a unique decor that added to the dining experience. It was a great meal in a place that clearly pays attention to both its cuisine and its ambiance."
