"I’ve been wanting to come here for years and it didn’t disappoint. First of all the owner himself served our food from the counter and even helped us save a little money on the Knockout meal. As the other employee said what owner would want to lose out on that extra money? They were both polite and amazing. The restaurant itself was clean and the atmosphere was great. They also had some containers and bags for people who couldn’t finish their meal. They also had outdoor seating with some picnic tables and a playground for the kids which to me is a huge bonus. Now the food….just amazing. The ribs surprised me on how much flavor it had, the brisket was some of the best I’ve had, sausages were good but a tad greasy for me, pulled pork partnered well with the bread provided, and that smoked turkey was mouth watering! The Mac and cheese was great as well. I loved this place and will be coming back…I’m honestly eyeing that grilled cheese with chopped brisket. If you’re ever in the area I highly recommended this place."
"Glad this was my first BBQ stop in San Antonio. Most every place I wanted to try was clear on the other side of the city so we went here first. Cute town too. Shout out to Cheetalish Enjoyed the brisket, loved the jalapeno sausage and the chipotle slaw. Also liked the creamed corn. Absolutely adored the Yeti"
"Loved this. Brisket (get the marbled cut) was so tender (no knife necessary) and smokey. Plates for half lb of meat, 2 sides, and bread are a really great value. They have a condiments area with pickles, onions, and jalapenos too."
"This place was picked out by my son! It was spot on ….the food was amazing. There are patios outside if you want to eat outside while your kids play in the outdoor playground. Don’t let the prices scare you….it is worth it. Great BBQ !"
"Some of the food was great and some was good. Really enjoyed the jalapeno cheddar sausage and creamed corn. Some of the best I've ever had. The pulled pork and chipotle slaw were lacking in flavor. The service and ambiance was great. I would definitely eat there again."
