"So disappointed. I moved away from the DFW (Roanoke) area about 10 years ago and this is one of the places I’ve bragged about to my coworkers. Got a chance to bring them here and it has apparently turned into a boring cookie cutter burger joint. Food was very mediocre, prices were high, ordering was difficult, and the pickles were as soggy and disappointing as the hamburger buns. I won’t come back and wish I had left this place in my memories instead of experiencing the shell of their former glory that now stands in its place. Blah."

"Went to celebrate a family birthday. Atmosphere was fun and exciting. There were families and fun music, even a trivia question in which to win a root beer float. There was only 1 real dedicated worker that came back and forth from the kitchen to do most everything while 3 others behind the counter ignored me and others waiting. That was the most frustrating part. The carbonated drink machine needs a new/ better filter because all drinks had a background taste which was not fresh. Food was OK and there are lots of interesting choices but burgers are at least $9+ with NO SIDES! Sides are OK, fries a tad soggy but generous with cheese and bacon and jalapeños. Busboy kind and helpful. In summary, food tastes good, portion sizes are just OK, prices are not matching food value. The experience could have been top notch except for the 3 employees that ignored us all at the counter. We enjoyed the food in general . Kudos to the 1 employee that worked kitchen , counter and service!"

"Today was our first visit at Twisted Root Burger Co. off Central. I didn’t quite know what to expect. The random names of singers and movie stars that are assigned to your order. So when it’s ready, they call the name assigned. Such as Ferris Buller, Mister Rogers, Ironman, Sally Fields, etc. The food was incredible. Burgers made to order and correct. We tried the onion ring basket. The batter they use has incredible flavor! There were about seven of us in our group and everyone raved about it. Great place to gather for lunch. By the way…I’m a Christmas Story movie lover. They even have the “leg lamp” over by the bar! The manager came over to visit and was super friendly. Really, everyone had a great attitude and work ethic. Excellent customer service. Something that’s hard to find these days. Looks like we have a new burger place to visit more often. Definitely coming back!"
