"This was a date night choice, and it was a neat atmosphere. Do not order the grilled chicken salad though. It didn't even look like chicken. It was cold, no grilled marks, and tasted like it was pre-packaged and thawed out. My husband got the fried chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes and that was great. My salad, I hardly ate. Their custom made cocktails were okay - nothing really struck my taste since I dont like ginger beer, but they brought me a few samples before I ordered, which was cool. The poutine was good too. Not exactly like Canada's version, but still good."

"My first time dining at 940's Kitchen and Cocktails in Denton. If you like interior design comprising of exposed brick walls, high ceilings, large, reminiscent black and white framed photos, large framed colorful modern art, and a big cocktail bar to sit and enjoy a drink, please come to this charming place. The menu offers some interesting choices. I recommend ordering the poutine appetizer (french fries, cheese curds, beef au jus (beef sauce), and green scallions. Was delicious! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. It was good, but could use some seasoning in the crunchy batter outside or perhaps the chicken. This place also offers vegan/vegetarian menu options, as well as mocktails (non-alcoholic beverages). My buddy Byron recommends making a reservation, as I understand this place is a busy hot spot. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Big shout-out to our server Sydney! She was awesome! As always, enjoy!"
"**Pro tip- Come here for mixed drinks and food, NOT BEER** Clean location with old local framed photos on the wall. Small menu but the food we ordered was great. I think there was more bacon than Brussel sprouts in the brussel sprouts so they were tasty as well was the burger and poutine we tried for the first time. I was in the mood for a cold draught beer but unfortunately the only two options they had for beer on draught were both sold out. The mixed drinks we did have were tasty, just not what we wanted with our meal."
