Mama Le

"My wife and I had a late lunch yesterday around 3pm. It is a nice quiet place especially at this time. Ordered Tofu Spring roll, Stir fry Tofu egg plant green beans, Jasmine Tea, Sugarcane juice and the fried plantain with coconut ice cream. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food came promptly and was very delicious. Loved the atmosphere, lots of country side pictures from Vietnam on the wall which are so beautiful. We will come back again to try more vegetarian options. Meanwhile, highly recommend others to check it out and share your experience."

"Yoooo! I think I found a new regular lunch hangout. Mama Le made me a believer. I came here for lunch with a friend since it’s close to where we both work. I’ve been sleeping on Mama Le! Please don’t be mad Mama, I’m a fan now! The parking lot is roomy with plenty of parking and plenty of space for me to back in park like I like to. The outside of the restaurant looks very nice and modern. Same in the inside. Nice decorations on the wall displaying Vietnamese culture. Vietnamese music playing as well. The hostess/ waitress greeted us upon entering and promptly brought us a menu and water. I’m not going to lie. I wanted to order an old favorite for me like Bún bò Huế, Bò né or Bò kho, maybe even bánh mì. Instead I decided to try something different. Now there was a slight mixup on my plate as I ordered Đậu Hủ Xào Sả Ớt or Tofu With Chili & Lemon Grass and I ended up getting Bò Xào Sả Ớt or Spicy Lemongrass Onion Beef. Ironically, I wasn’t even practicing my Tiếng Việt this time. I’ll tell you right now, I’m not mad at them at all. Maybe they knew what I needed better than I did because the Bò Xào Sả Ớt was on point! It had just the right amount of spice and heat. I know when my nose starts running but I haven’t started crying yet, I’m in my zone. The beef was tender. The veggies were fresh. I don’t even eat a ton of rice but I ate all that rice. I could see my reflection in my plate when I was done. In all my excitement, I forgot to mention the appetizers. Fried calamari that looked like onion rings and tasted great. Crispy tofu that was completely crispy on the outside but so soft on the inside. I wonder if they make a spicy version? My friend ordered the Salmon Chiên or Fried Salmon. It looked delicious and they said it was. I’m definitely ordering that at some point. I didn’t tell the waitress about the mixup until I went to pay. She was apologetic but I assured her it was more than okay. I enjoyed what I got and I eat both meat and vegetable based dishes, so no harm. I gotta come back to this place and after telling a few other friends about it, they do to. Looking forward to my next visit already."

"Had an amazing dinner at Mama Le. Delicious, fresh and full of flavor! Clean dining room, great service from the staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. The prices on menus have been updated in last few months. I choose spring roll and vermicelli pork eggroll bowl. The spring rolls were packed with flavor!! The Vermicelli bowl was topped with grilled pork and sliced egg rolls. Not to mention the fresh veggies that rounded out the whole dish. Tv was playing some music from the 80s and 90s. Wonderful experience!!"

"Did not get a picture, but the house bahn mi was awesome. Well balanced, the bread was crustier than I am used to, but the inner bread was perfect and I really liked the crust crunch texture - it was more like a shiny egg washed crust than the baguette I am used to. At first I thought the Pho needed something, but it was because I let it sit so long while savoring my bahn mi. The dense spices settled to the bottom of the bowl. Bahn mi 5/5 Pho 4.5/5 - I would still like some more hints of anise or a sweeter spice to counter balance the savory. Great place, great and friendly service, good traffic flow in and all tables were very clean."
