Thankfully this is something you only have to do once every four or five years if you're fortunate. "I purchased two platinum super start batteries for my son's diesel truck. I decided to buy their top of the line, hoping that they would not leave my son stranded. Not even two years later my son's truck would not turn over. I decided to charge the batteries all night to see if he had left and accessory on and that had run the batteries down, but in the morning the truck would still not turn over. I pulled both batteries and took them back to the O'Reilly store that I had purchased them at, and they told me that they were still under warranty, but they would have to charge them all day and test them to determine if I get any money back. I let them know that my son needs his truck now, and can I purchase two new batteries and they could credit me any warranty refund money after they had charged and tested them? They said no, and that they were sorry, but it's their policy for everyone! So, I took both of my batteries to Interstate Batteries, for the core exchange, purchased two new Interstate Batteries, put them in my son's truck, it fired right up and away he went to school. This morning will be the last time I set foot in an O'Reilly Auto Parts store."
