Sea Island Shrimp House

"Title: Terrible Experience, Would Never Recommend I had the unfortunate experience of working at Sea Island Shrimp House, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. Management, particularly Matt, was unbelievably strict, timing bathroom breaks like we were in a prison. One incident that sticks out is when a homeless lady simply asked for bread, and instead of showing basic human decency, the owners demanded she leave or face police intervention. Karen, the assistant manager, epitomizes unprofessionalism. I vividly remember her berating me over red sauce, displaying a complete lack of respect. To make matters worse, one of the grill cooks made inappropriate advances towards me while I was pregnant, despite me clearly stating I wasn't interested. I reported it to Amanda, a manager, but it fell on deaf ears. When the pandemic hit, they laid off staff without a second thought, offering nothing but a hollow suggestion to apply for unemployment, knowing full well that many of us wouldn't qualify due to our low wages. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. It's a toxic environment run by heartless individuals."

"Walking in was great as we had come in at a non-busy hour. Customer service was excellent, and from taking our order to getting the bill, they were all around wonderful. The food was just a little under what I'd call perfect, but my fish sandwich was pretty close to it! All around, it was a pretty good visit, and I will be back again!"

"The lobster tuscan pasta was great but we had a few problems with our dining experience. First was the "ice cold beer" that they had a sign up for was cool at best. Secondly, the fountain drink water was not functional. Lastly, the patio dining area had a door that would lock when you go outside forcing us to go back around through the entrance. The employee said it was supposed to be locked after the fact but what's the point of having patio tables if we get locked outside to use them? We have enjoyed Sea Island before but this location seems to have too many issues for dine in."

"It's my first time here, and I'm disappointed. The restaurant was dirty from the table, chair, and floor. I paid almost $16 including tax for my dish However, I have got a tiny fish and a tiny shrimp. I will not recommend it."

"Sea Island is great! The food is amazing! You walk in and order at the counter, get yourself a drink, and seat yourself. You are given a small device that sits on your table so the food runners know where to drop off your meal. If you have leftovers, you get the boxes, bags and napkins yourself at the condiment station. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. I have not had a bad dish yet. I've ordered the shrimp po' boy, both grilled and charbroiled, the diablo fish, the seafood platter, etc. It's all amazing. Everything is delicious, and I usually end up with leftover food to enjoy later. The lunch specials run EVERY DAY until 2pm! It's great. Plus they offer 10% military discount on Tuesdays!"
