"This place has a lot of potential!! 4 stars due to one and only one downside, as soon as you walk through those doors you hear your shoes squeak which means the floors are unclean and sticky. The tables were sparkling clean with no stains or stickiness. The decor is modest, American and welcoming at the same time. The food was all delicious! We ordered sweet potato fries, croissant sandwich and breakfast sandwich. All the 3 were tasty and savoring. Portion size is good and filling. The only coffee options they have is plain black coffee with unflavored cream but They do have a refrigerator with a couple of cold coffee options from Starbucks and some sodas. Service was excellent. All the occupied tables were checked upon on multiple times by the staff. Staff is pleasant and homely. Ordering food was smooth and easy. I will recommend this place for anyone who wants to have some good breakfast when in live oak!"

"Food is really good and fresh. Took about 10 minutes from order to service so you know it wasn't premade. The potatoes were popular with us and other customers. Nothing special just good. The biscuit sandwich was not dry like biscuits can be but I would get the croissant next time. Biscuits are hard to eat as a sandwich when they crumble. Well definitely come back."

"Friendly service and delicious breakfast. My only complaint is my son ordered the peanut butter French toast but they gave him a berry one. He started eating before remembering and it was delicious, so he wasn't worth about it. My husband said they have one of the top five biscuits and gravy he's ever had, and he eats it a lot. My croissant sandwich was delicious."

"Fried Green Tomatoes. OMG. If you like fried green Tomatoes, this is the place to come. Perfect crispness , excellent breading and a surprisingly good dip for them. We also had a cheeseburger and jalapeno jack burger. Both done right and super tasty. Definitely be back , soon."

"Not sure about all the great reviews but here is my experience on a recent trip to the San Antonio area. Went to Happy Day Cafe due to the good reviews. Upon entering, there is a sign directing guests to order at the counter. The menu is written on a chalkboard - no issues. Ordered coffee, a chocolate chip cookie, eggs over easy with a side of bacon and a croissant. After paying, you are given a number to place on your table. A few minutes later, the server arrived with the food. In addition to what I ordered the dish came with potatoes, butter, and blueberry preserves. The coffee was Ok, the butter was real which was a plus, and the blueberry preserves were pretty good. Also, the potatoes were surprisingly good as well. However, the eggs were mostly still raw and the bacon was very salty. The chocolate cookie that I had ordered was hard and tasteless. The ambiance is homey and the employees are all very polite which is a nice plus. So, what I actually ordered wasn't good at all. The condiments and potatoes were the stars of the meal. I won't be back."
