"A nice lunch with colleagues. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the Caesar salad with grilled chicken and the tomato basil soup. The soup has a really nice savory flavor and thick texture. The lettuce was fresh and the chicken nicely seasoned and hot. At the entryway there was a little confusion as to where to go when dining in versus taking out but once we realized where to go we watched place our order to find a table. It's a pleasant restaurant with plenty of seating and cosy corners. We came at a very busy time and maybe a bit of understaffing that day as more then 50% of the open tables had dishes to be cleared and wiped, and we actively saw someone trying their best to get to all of them. We found a cosy spot and our food was delivered in a timely manner despite the busy day, compliments to the chef :) The lady that brought our food was a little flustered and thanked us for waiting while it was so busy. We made sure to let her know we were absolutely fine and appreciated the hard work and delicious food. Definitely recommend!"

"I used to love this place. Haven't been here in years, but it's really gone downhill! Other people I've talked to have said the exact same thing. I got a bowl of French onion soup for dine-in. Took 15 minutes to arrive. Was served in a to-go container (they were "washing all the bowls"). Expected bread on top with some nice melted cheese. Instead, there were some soggy croutons and a couple of pieces of not-melted shredded cheese. Was just awful! And cost $7. Definitely will not return."

"This place is an absolute must stop if you are in the grapevine area. the food is fantastic fresh made pastries and pie crusts The atmosphere from entrance to dining area to bathrooms are all consistent with the French quarter influence and keep you feeling relaxed and cozy."

"Every time I come, it gets worse. I’ve been coming to la madeleine for about 8 years now. And today was it. I ordered the “creamy pesto pasta“ with salmon. It barely had any pesto or the “creamy” element. Also the portion was so small for $20!!! The salmon was slimy and I barely ate it because I didn’t want to get sick. From the picture you can also see that pesto is the little green flakes and the creamy element looks like starchy pasta water. Not pictures was the side bread which was dark brown and super hard to bite into and eat. Usually I dip the bread in the “cream” of the pasta but it was non existent today."

"We tried the Crepe la Madeleine, Strawberry Nutella Crepe, Chicken Parisien Sandwich, and Quiche Florentine. The crepes were tiny portions, but tasted good. I really liked the sandwich and quiche. The quiche took a while to bake. The last time I visited la Madeleine, they still served meals behind the display window as you pushed your tray. Now, everything is made to order. Food is still good, but the wait is a little longer."
