"We stopped by the General Store after hiking the state park for a couple of cold drinks and were pleasantly surprised to find the deli counter! The sandwiches are HUGE and amazing! Not at all what I’d expect in the middle of the desert! For sure worth a visit while in the area. Just a note- they do not have restrooms for customers."

"I appreciated having a place to get food after exploring the state park. We picked up the deli sandwiches. I was disappointed they were $10 each. But. They were large, delicious, made to order, and filled us up. There is seating outside and inside to enjoy your food and cold drinks. We also met Clay Henry, official elected mayor of Lajitas. He's a goat."
