"My husband and I have several favorites in Amarillo, but decided to try this place. Upon entering, the place was clean. We were greeted by our server. The salsa was good, but I've had better. My husband ordered enchiladas with red sauce and I had the chile relleno plate. The sauce on the enchiladas was not authentic. It was more of a tomato sauce. My husband described it as spaghetti sauce on enchiladas. The same sauce was on my chile relleno. It was not authentic red sauce, but more of a plain tomatoe sauce with tomatoe chunks. There was a taco and chalupa that didn't have seasoning. I grew up with authentic Mexican food and this place was more Tex-Mex. You can tell if a place is authentic by the customers and during lunch, we saw many older couples that wouldn't want to eat spice. This is the place for them. As for my husband and I, we will go for the authentic Mexican food that doesn't skimp on the spice."
"The restaurant is cleaned, but dated! The salsa is fresh and I recommend a side guacamole as well! I has the grilled fish tacos and my husband had the enchiladas with mole sauce! Both dishes were excellent and the pricing is extremely reasonable! Worth the trip!"

"This was my first time to visit El Bracero while passing thru Amarillo. First of all, their salsa is AMAZING! I could almost have made a meal of the chips and salsa. I ordered the lamb street tacos which were some of the best I’ve ever had. I will try their lamb chops next visit. Our server was excellent. Highly recommended!"
"El Bracero has been a semi-regular spot for me the last three years. I usually get something different each visit, typically a grilled dish, and I'm always satisfied. My most recent visit was January 25, 2023, for takeout. I had the Lomo Saltado and my partner got the Acapulco. Both dishes had excellent flavor and were well made. The beef tenderloin was so soft and flavorful that I'm already thinking of ordering the Lomo Saltado again. Their tortillas are super good, too. Not sure if they make them or have a good supplier, but the tortilla really tied the beef and onions together. Prices are really fair for what you get and they gave complimentary chips and salsa on the to-go order."
