"Easy quick checkin booth. Only one water station near entry. Bad part is of the two dump stations one has bi directional traffic flow so people barging into the line oncoming from main entrance so very disorganized and slow slow slow. Wound up leaving after seeing this bidirectional situation letting others into line out of turn to other station at far northeast of grounds that has a queue so long it blocks campsites from departing. Be prepared to wait 1-2 hours if you’re lucky in dump lane people are novices and slow slow slow. Didn’t visit bathrooms I have rv so not needed. West campground area has a road in a deep valley so closed in wintertime for that area. Some campsites in that gulch are heavily wooded or sloped beware. Our site at 90 degree to road back in so if you have a longer trailer nay have maneuver problem in reverse. Some campsites partially wooded others fully so have you slide out roll covers on or have a blower. We stayed during Halloween weekend everyone in our area civil and kids well mannered. But I wasn’t distributing candy so no direct interaction with kids but didn’t hear of any complaints. Electric only hookups. Verizon cellular mediocre. T-Mobile terrible."
"Stopped for an overnight on our way south. Nearly every site here is well separated from its neighbors with the exception of a few clinkers. Access to trails and the Turkey Run itself make this a great campground especially in the summer for families."
"Love it . Went on 6 & 11 beautiful . Trail was not bad. Close together . About 2 miles didn't take to long."
"The campground is in need of upkeep. The bathrooms in particular. I will never understand the lack of water available at each campsite in my home state park campgrounds. They have fill stations throughout the park so the lines are there. Run them to each spot. I also feel that paying an entrance fee for an in state park shows poor priorities for our government spending. Gravel is cheap. I would much rather have gravel on the campsites that are always muddy. I posted a picture of the one water fill station for the entire loop. I had plenty of time because we sat here for a long time in line."
"Clean and spacious spots. Stayed on 169 with tons of shade but the site was a bit sloped. Site 168 next to us was HUGE. Recommend that one. Campground well taken care of. People were friendly and good at night. Definitely recommend to bring bikes or scooters. Kids moved in hordes around the loops just playing together. The one thing that needs work is the bathroom is in the center of the park. 3 bathroom stalls each and both men and women only had 1 working. Shower stalls were also covered in mildew. Crews came in and cleaned up Monday morning. The statepark 15 seconds up the road was awesome. Pool, parks, trails ranging from easy to tough, horsebackriding, an inn with a restaurant, and a nature center. Bring cash for the horses and pool! We did tubing down the river as well which was great. Highly recommend!"
