"Temple Square is partially under construction right now. But this is an incredible place. The temple on the square took pioneers 40 years to build. There are multiple visitors centers where you can watch videos and see exhibits to learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it's members."

"Even with all of the construction, there are lights to be enjoyed. We were there on a Saturday evening and there was a full schedule of musical groups performing in the Tabernacle. They were very talented and the programs were enjoyable. Only the area around the Tabernacle and the Assembly Hall is accessible and lighted. The best access is from South Temple across from the mall. You can still get to the Conference Center from the north side of the Tabernacle, but the area is not lit up. There are protective walls blocking access to the construction area around the Temple. There are several sections where the wall is plexiglass so you can see the progress of the work. The Temple is completely wrapped in scaffolding. There are no tickets required and all of the concerts were free."

"Currently undergoing comprehensive renovation it is hard to gauge the impact of Temple Square as an outsider, but with nearby hikes and plenty of shopping just feet away everyone can find something to enjoy. Visiting during a big weekend for the church everything was predictably crowded, but people were very friendly while free audio guides offered insight into the Church."

"Temple square was nice even with the current construction. There is a lot of shopping options and great food choices all in walking distance. You can venture north into the trails or go south towards the shopping areas. However I would advise to be careful with the homeless. There wasn’t a large homeless population but they were very aggressive."

"Home of the LDS church and located in downtown Salt Lake City. The guides are welcoming and friendly. And we were able to look around the assembly hall and tabernacle, the cathedral was undergoing major renovations when we visited in April."
