"This was our second year annual Smalls family reunion. I’m sure most people are trying to figure out why does it say Gees Bend family reunion? Well here’s the story; those that live in or around the Mobile, Al area may know CJ Smalls owner and operator of Smalls Mortuary, CJ is the VP for the Mobile City council, CJ father aka CJ Sr., is from, many of you may know or heard of the Gees Bend quilters the women that made quilts from fabric to keep their families warm, have been in places like Smithsonian museum, Mobile museums etc, and the list goes on, so my mom who is CJ Sr niece is apart of these amazing women along with her mom and mother n law that are from Gees Bend (Google what is Gees Bend famous for and you will see some of their art, and check YouTube give you a lot more information about these wonderful amazing women who became artists just by keeping their families warm"

"Nice park for fishing. This park has restrooms & some type of ticket kiosk near the restrooms. I am not sure if the ticket kiosk is for the WAVE Mobile City Bus Transit or for fishing licenses. There are a few shaded pavilions, some with electric plug ins and water faucets. It is right next to The US Coast Guard Station, you can watch the helicopters take off & land. There was a girl walking laps at the park. There is no playground at this park. I was here walking my dog. There are alligators in the water, I would not let your dog swim. There is one or two small piers you can moor a boat up to, like a canoe or kayak, small boat with an engine, does not look big enough to accommodate a large boat, looks like there are a few obstructions, namely logs & gators, looks shallow, it's in the wetlands."

"Well kept, tidy park. Great place for senior citizens to exercise. There is a pier where you can fish and/or enjoy the splendor of the Alabama gulf coast. The only reason it gets 4/5 stars is because there are no trails. The Gator is super cute, I named him Snappy."

"This is an absolutely beautiful park. Great place to take the dogs for a walk or even just to go walk by yourself. You can fish off the dock or even have a barbeque in one of the pavilions. The view of the bay is absolutely amazing. This is one of my favorite places in Mobile Alabama."

"It's a very nice, quiet and beautiful place to relax. Do some walking exercises. Read a book. There's plenty of benches along the sidewalk. A nice pier to fish from and if you are riding a wave runner, there is a small dock to park and walk up to the pier. There are public restrooms, men's room is clean, women's were not. And there is a bus stop near the restroom."
