"If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. My husband and I enrolled our son, expecting treatment and assessment for depression and anxiety. He went for three days, we withdrew him on the fourth. During that time, we were promised 5 phone calls with updates on our son. Those promised phone calls do not include the family meeting we were supposed to be contacted to set up for the end of that week. No one gave us updates when he was dropped off or picked up. On the third day, my husband expressed his concern with the lack of communication and all the front desk employee would repeat is, “Participation is strictly voluntary.” She said it THREE times without addressing his concerns. After talking with our son, we realized he was either unaware he was being assessed (he was not introduced to whomever was evaluating him properly) or very little time was being given to address any of our concerns. On the fourth day we decided to send our son back to school. We requested his medical records and sought assessment elsewhere. Today, his records came in the mail, addressed to the wrong name. While I was reading the notes we had to show for three whole days, I found a document containing ANOTHER patient’s personal health information at the end of the packet. I am COMPLETELY dumbfounded. Don’t waste your time."

"People have helped me greatly. I am going back a second time. The lady at the front was super nice. I definitely recommend this place for your kids"

"This place is a joke. They don't have one-on-one sessions if you come in on a volunteer basis they will still hold you for 72 hours and will not let you leave if you ask. When it is time to leave after you sign your release form they hold you for 2 hours before they will let you go. The people at the front desk have no clue what is going on. The nurses in the back will not listen to the patient when they have a question. If it was my opinion you would have a better experience anywhere else but here. The therapist who is supposed to help does nothing really besides prescribe meds and just hope that works for you. If I could they would get Zero stars."

"I was not that impressed with this facility. The Therapist was not very helpful. I paid everything up front with my credit card. They discharged my daughter early and have yet to refund my card. I am told that I will get a gift card in the mail to cover the $200.00 that was put on my card. This is a horrible way to do business. Only take your kid there if you dont want your money back."

"Former patient here! Before I came to Sycamore Springs changes I went to a psych ward. The psych ward left me more disturbed. Sycamore Springs changes has a easy and well adaptable care team who all want to work there and help the children. I felt loved and comforted and even with my few panic attacks I had they worked with me to help. At changes your child will be able to talk about topics such as controlling Emotions, the psychology behind depression and how common it is, boundaries, coping techniques and MANY other things. Going into changes your child will slowly learn the techniques they need to cope with daily life stresses. CBT therapy is the main therapy usage here. The ONE thing I have to say is is that your child must put the effort into the program to reap the benefits. I can gurantee this is the only place you should send your child when in desperate need. While I have only been to one psych ward they did not equip us with adequate survival information in a comforting and well established safe place. Changes is more laid back and less hectic. They are here to help. The staff have safety protocols such as your child is never left alone. At the beginning of every day we took our shoes off to check for contraband as well as we got wanded with a metal detector. Your child is safe here. I thank everyone for helping me. :)"
