"Great apartment, bad WiFi. Apartment is great, roomy, central heating, furnished, kitchen appliances besides a toaster, washer and dryer in the apartment and the other amenities like the fitness center and pool are good. Only downsides are the WiFi and stability of power. The WiFi speed is fine but some days especially on weekends you can't even connect so it's probably due to too many users at once. The power issues are related to storms, two electrical storms took place during my stay, both times I lost power and the second time my laptop was nearly fried so I immediately got a surge protector power strip. Final verdict is it's great if you need a place to stay while enjoy the town, if you need stable internet consider other options."

"I moved into Summerhouse in February for 2022 and an moving out today(July 2023). Living here has been great. Good location, safe area, and nice apartments. I lived in building 4461 so unfortunately road noise from 3rd Street was an issue, lots of emergency vehicles and loud cars going past at all hours of the day. You get used to it, but it's still a lot of noise that the other buildings don't get. This was the main reason for only 4 stars. I know it's not in their control, but that comes with the location. Also had noisy upstairs neighbors move in during summer 2022, just hearing them stomp about and drop things on the floor. Wasn't bad enough to make a noise complaint, but it's something to keep in mind. My rent was only raised by $20 when I renewed, so not bad at all. Wasn't a problem for me but the one bedroom apartments may be small for some. As a guy living on his own for the first time, it was perfect. A good sized bedroom that doubled as an office space, a decently sized living room, and a small kitchen to do a little bit of cooking in was great for me. It's a little small for having guests over (a few would be fine) and living with another person probably would've felt too small. It's doable, but I wouldn't recommend. Otherwise no issues! I felt safe living here, my girlfriend came to visit often and also felt safe. The people were quiet and the neighborhood behind the complex is a good place to go for a short walk. It's a 2 minute drive to Target, the mall and a lot of restaurants and less than 10 minutes to the eastern part of campus. Perfect for anyone working remotely(as I was) or working at/attending the university and with a car. There are a few nearby bus stops around, but the buses aren't very frequent and it's difficult to find the right ones to get back, so definitely have a car with you. "The short term housing here was literally my only option to live when I moved to town. For that, the rent was extraordinarily high because there was no other options. If you are staying there for only a month or so, I feel like it is fine, but 4 months + with no other options, I wish there were cheaper ones in town. Parking varies. Most of the time it is fine, but lots of times, people park in the lanes so it is very hard to leave. Sometimes you don’t have any other option but to park by a curb because there are no spots in the lot. The one bedroom apartment is very small. The furnishings (furniture, pillows, etc) were nice, but the layout feels very claustrophobic if you stay for a while. Especially because with all of the furnishings (blankets, sheets, pillows (for two beds), pans, plates, towels, etc) there is almost no room to bring any of your own belongings. Since I have allergies, I like using my own things, and I could not fully unpack my whole stay because most of the storage was taken up with the apartment’s furnishings. Plus, the kitchen cabinets are very very small. It was nice to not have to move a couch and chairs, but I did not need multiple sets of sheets, blankets, and pillows. The short term housing is smelled nice and was in great condition since they do not allow pets, but it was not possible to make it feel like a home. Although there are very few other options in Bloomington, I would not suggest staying there if you have any of your own belongings or if you want to stay more than a month or so. (Unless you don’t mind living in a hotel for long periods of time)."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our one month stay at SummerHouse and would definitely keep them in mind for future short term stays in Bloomington. The check in - check out process was extremely smooth, the facilities were great and property is very well maintained. We interacted with Ethan all through the booking process and our stay there and it was a pleasure interacting with him and the SummerHouse team. Keep up the great work folks. "Our family stayed at Summerhouse for 12 days this year. We loved it. The rooms are cozy. There are ceiling fans and central air in the rooms. The floors are a nice vinyl hardwood style floor. This is nice because it has a home type feel but you don't have to worry about scratching them. There is no housekeeping. Where some may not like this we loved it. More privacy and makes it feel more like your own. There are washers and dryers in the units. We only had one small problem and the staff after hours on Sunday was within 30 minutes able to resolve our issue with the problems. Everytime we visit Bloomington we will stay here. Thank you for making our trip comfortable."
