"I downsized from my three bedroom, two bathroom home and moved to Westfield Indiana. I didn't expect to find anything great and stumbled upon Flats at Spring Mill. It is conveniently located right by a Kroger, which I love! It is also in an up and coming area where I can easily make my way over to places like the winery or Starbucks! The staff was welcoming and answered my questions when I was moving from out of town in a timely fashion. Special thanks to Joslyn and Yvonne for all of their hard work getting me settled in!"

"Do not live here! Living conditions are not as advertised. They never fix anything. I also still have not received my deposit back yet. It has been over 45 days since I left my forwarding address. They have not sent the deposit or sent any documents as to why. I've left at least 5 voicemail and no response. They never respond to anything while living there either. Who doesn't return a phone call in this situation?"

"I moved out of here in June but lived at the flats for a year , the apartments are nice and newer but if you are able to live somewhere else I highly recommend that. So many issues with the office and them being unprofessional and rude , my roommate and I at the time had MULTIPLE experiences of maintenance coming in unannounced with zero warning ,( which could have been the offices fault as well for not communicating to us as I’m pretty sure they needed them to unlock the door ) and no we hadn’t put in a request for maintenance. We had issues with the locks and being locked out and just too many occurrences that I no longer felt comfortable staying there , we had a camera up and heard the workers in our apartment making inappropriate remarks I reached out to the office numerous times about it and never heard back , when I went in person the certain workers were there so I didn’t feel comfortable saying anything. They aren’t very good about answering phones or emails. There was just a lot of stuff that didn’t sit right with me , don’t recommend this place , especially if you’re living alone! If you do get a ring doorbell and or camera because that was the only way we knew people were coming into our apartment without our knowledge , we would have never known."

"There are obviously a lot of mixed reviews. It’s important to keep in mind we’re all only human. The office management and overall maintenance team have been incredible. I put in a service request and they came same day (typically at other places it would take a week). The office is super friendly and are always checking in on me, specifically Yvonne. Any questions I’ve ever had they have taken the time to get them answered in a timely manner. Couldn’t be happier."

"Do some research before moving here! The apartments and over all complex are nice, however the management is horrible and unresponsive. I chose to live here because one of my close friends had a previously great experience living here, but we have both ran into multiple issues since May. First off, the leasing agent at that time assured me that the $8 monthly fee for insurance covered my personal belongings. Subsequently, we experienced a water leak due to lack of routine maintenance (water heater filter was not changed as scheduled); the water heater is in a locked closet in the living room area to which we have no access to. I reported the mildew and damages caused to my personal belongings and to the unit from this leak. See attached photos. I then reached out to management about replacing my damaged items and found out that they were not covered as I had been informed previously. The insurance covers the complex only! I shared my frustration given I had been provided with wrong information, which I specifically asked what the fee covered at lease signing. The property manager stated she would reach out to her higher ups re: reimbursement and suggested I call corporate. I have called corporate twice in 3 weeks, with no response. I have also reached out to the property manager again and have heard back nothing! Additionally, during my initial tour visit, the leasing agent logged into his Latch system (used to unlock doors) on my personal phone and allowed me to walk to the building myself and give myself a tour; he did not accompany me, which gave me access to any apartment unit or facility building. I took matters into my own hands and logged out of his account later that week when I realized I still had access to the entire complex. After moving in, the Latch system was also down for a prologue period (2 months) giving building access to anyone. Tenants complained and management did not respond in a timely manner. This was a safety issue! The day I moved in my dryer started to smoke and there was a huge crack in my stove top, which are both fire hazards. Additionally, my shower drain was clogged completely. You would think the unit would be checked and move in ready for a new tenant. I called maintenance immediately, however issues were fixed the following week. As I mentioned, the complex is nice and the maintenance employees that I have interacted with have been friendly and kind, however the management staff do not appear to care about the residence and are unresponsive to issues."
