"The way I was treated when I needed help was extremely poor. I was treated so poorly by this doctors office when I called and told them the situation that I needed surgery. I just had found out I lost my son 4 weeks ago at my 15week appointment. I did not know he had passed till that appointment. I was leaving town two days later and needed surgery so my life would not be at risk while I was gone. I was told to call here because my midwife spoke with the hospital who told me I should call my obgyn. They apparently were supposed to know the situation and fit me in. Communication doesn’t seem well so I won’t be too upset over that but still. Instead of being supportive. I got “well why did you leave us” and “why are you communicating with a midwife and us right now”? The not letting me finish my reasoning and why I was calling. The interruption was ungodly. Why can’t you let me finish so you understand? It would save you time and questions right? Why so hostile when I was trying to breathe through crying and communicating????? And when I mentioned I was hurt by this it was ignored and my name being said repeatedly trying to convince me that wasn’t the case. I said I would have my midwife find another place to do the surgery and the lady on the phone told me no I needed to do it there? Excuse me? No mam. The amount of disrespect to ask a woman those questions and to be absolutely so rude while I am in tears over the loss of a child is the reason women never seek help. Your tone of voice was uncalled for and I’m sorry you couldn’t see that but everyone else could. I’ll never forget that and I’ll never step back foot here. Thankful for my midwife who got me the help and respect I needed. Y’all need compassion and to learn phone etiquette. By the way, since you were so desperate to know, I left because it seems natural births at hospitals annoy everyone. Oh and because I can. Please don’t even bother with a response either. I need no apology."

"I absolutely love Dr. Chris and his wonderful nurse, Mimi. He has been my doctor for over 15 years and I always have such a wonderful experience seeing him and Nurse Mimi. I had three deliveries with Dr. Chris and he was very courteous, made sure I was comfortable, and has excellent bedside manners."

"Dr. Duggar is very unprofessional, rude, and has a horrible bedside manner. When consulting patients, he does not properly review their files. He is not gentle at all and I’m not sure how he is still in practice. The only thing saving him at Jackson clinic is his wonderful staff and nurse practitioner. I miss Dr. Kouri and currently trying to find a new OB/GYB."

"Let me start out and say that I do not like any doctors. I will continue and say the first time I came to this specialty doctor was for my first pregnancy (no complications). I had no idea what to expect... and didn't feel comfortable with any part of the process. Dr. Duggar was perfect for me. He was direct, focused on facts, and stayed within his sphere of knowledge so he only gave the best information he could. He didn't push any particular method of delivery, and when he noticed how uncomfortable I was for certain procedures, he assured me I was in complete control and didn't need to do anything I was uncomfortable with (and I took advantage of that and didn't have things done if it was not medically required for baby's health). We ended up getting induced because baby was large. I hadn't decided on the epidural until just before delivery. Because of Dr. Duggar's knowledge and experience, I got cuts, but didn't tear (tears take longer to recover and can lead to more irregular scarring and issues with future tearing for future deliveries). The support staff with the office is nice. I was put off at first by the greeting at the front desk... but that may be normal for most doctor's offices to want all the insurance and personal history before moving forward (and seeming a bit impersonal until everything is finished). The ultrasound tech was great! She took the extra time to answer any questions and always took extra pictures of the developing baby in addition to her regular vital checks. She was so experienced that she would drop details about development and we never felt rushed or unable to take the extra time to ask about what we were seeing or unable to ask questions. She would always share her experience and then suggest we talk with Dr. Duggar for his input, especially if we had developmental or critical questions. I wish I could give a 4.5... but it's not an option. The only thing I wish the practice did that would have made it better would be provide better preparation for future visits... and what to expect. First time pregnancy and mom isn't around to ask questions... so I didn't know what to ask or expect, and the staff and Duggar are so normalized to pregnancy that they don't seem to realize how new and uncharted the entire process can be. I wish they had an orientation document that gave insight and what to expect for normal pregnancies for the next visit and the time between milestone visits. It would have helped me feel more secure in the next phase, and it would have kept me off the internet googling what is going on with my body... which always provided conflicting information that I'd end up asking the office about anyways. Either a paper copy, or an electronic copy... just something to reference that the doctor can provide verbal insight around with what he sees in my specific case... that would have been great and pushed this to a 5 review. In short, Dr. Duggar is a knowledgeable doctor with a caring staff. As a patient, you need to be prepared to ask questions."

"Dr. Duggar was responsible for discharging my daughter from Jackson Hospital after her 1st delivery. (Dr. Kouri was delivery Doctor and was outstanding.) Duggar discharged her without even examining her. He walked in, said everything seemed fine, signed off and left. Sad."
