Jackson Surgery Center

"Very displeased with only allowing 1 parent to be present for a surgery for a minor child. Completely unacceptable to not allow both parents to be present to support their children. People wonder why there is separation in the world. It is forced with the only explanation “it’s our policy “. Yet no other Jackson facility has this policy. I will do everything in my power to never use this facility again."

"My Colonoscopy was scheduled November 2nd, 2023 @ 10:30 a.m. and my Dr. was Muhammad Harris and this was the first time ever getting a colonoscopy. Well after the procedure was over the nurse over my recovery was very nasty towards me, and you know just coming out of anesthesia you're not yourself, she asked my sister that was there to be with me was I "Special"! Well she must have been prejudice because you don't treat someone in that manner just trying to come out of anesthesia. She was rushing us out of there so fast that I couldn't hardly get my clothes on fast enough I almost hit the floor with anesthesia still running through me. The only reason I gave 1 star was the checking in part. These nurses are supposed to be there to care for people not kick them while they are vulnerable!"

"Had a very bad experience this morning. My surgery was scheduled to be at 6am. Upon my arrival, I was asked if I was tested positive for COVID in the past 3 months. After saying yes, I was required to have the positive test proof which I was never informed of by the doctor or the surgery center in their numerous text messages prior to the surgery. I was denied the surgery. Will never go back to that place."

"I had a great experience with my kind and caring nurses at my pre-surgery and recovery room time. I'd like to thank Cherri, Philanda and Cheryl personally for their great work. They made sure I was comfortable. As for as the surgery, the anesthesiologist and surgeon made sure I was knocked out for the 7 stitches although I didn't choose to be. Doctor was very late so he didn't want to waste any time. Maybe it was for the best but it was definitely not my choice."

"We have used Jackson Surgery Center three times in the last two years and every visit was a positive experience. The staff is friendly, the nurses are kind and knowledgeable about every procedure we were there for. The staff kept the family/driver informed the entire time the patient was there. The billing department was very easy to work with. I was able to get someone on the phone every time I called to get an insurance issue resolved. I would highly recommend Jackson Surgery Center to anyone that needs the type service they offer. I would give them 10 stars if it were possible."
