Timberline Apartments

"The management of these apartments are not worth a damn. They don’t return emails. They don’t respond to maintenance requests. They send maintenance to look around and then maintenance never returns to conduct repairs. A simple request we’ve placed, well over a month and a half ago was that all the old air vents that are black in the inside, that have been here since the apartment was built, and painted over, to be replaced. We were told it wouldn’t take more than a weekend to have that cleaned up and replaced and we haven’t heard anything back about the matter yet. I am certain there’s a mold problem in this apartment. The ceiling keeps getting water spots from the unit about. And water bugs are coming in through not only the drains but also the nasty vents. They don’t answer the phone when you call unless it’s early in the morning. Their hasn’t been on-site management or a leasing office at this Timberline West complex for at least 2 years. We’ve paid for amenities like the pool that was dirty for a year, and now is closed off completely. There was a small play area behind the mail center that has now been completely removed. Trash pickup is being charged but it does not exist. In fact, if you leave trash at your door, you will be fined. There is no pest control unless you count the stray cats they have around here “guarding” the building. They don’t tell you things like you can get your carpet cleaned at renewal unless you bring it up. They pretend to do inspections claiming they’ll make updates and repairs but that’s bogus. It’s all for show so they won’t be held liable for not doing so. They have half-sized water heaters in the units so you can probably get about 10 minutes of hot water in your shower before it runs out."

"I’ve resided at this location for several years. It’s very quiet and patrolled by BPD. Minor issues that may arise with any properties but staff is swift to repair/replace. Easy application process and if needed ; staff is there to make this a not so stressful process during your search for housing. Close to several restaurants, groceries and retail stores . Bus stops right in front of the complex to transport kids to school and also public transport (Max) right across the street. UAB Medical West located across from the complex for all of your medical needs. Staff is readily available to assist with your needs as they arise. I say Welcome Home to each of you in search for housing."

"Great clean place to stay! Staff is nice and friendly! Area is also quiet. Quick access to interstate and local grocery stories even the hospital is close for unknown emergencies that may come about."

"I lived in Timberline West from 4/2013/ 7-2020. My experience was a good one! The staff was always nice to me(Naomi had her days, lol). My apartment was nice, and if I was in need of repairs it was always taken care of by the time I got in from work! I really liked the community. It was away from the mainstream and quite. I was going back, but my home purchase came through first!"

"Unprofessional! The office manager have a nasty attitude. The office staff are located off site. The office manager have been over charging for rent. You never see the office staff on the property concerning problems. HUDD and REAC need to inspect the facilities. The office have several different managers every 3 to 6 months. The information you submit get loss or misplaced. The office try to coverup for their mistakes and mess ups. They wait until you leave the house to come snipping in your house."
