"Dr. Charles Johnson and his nurse Mrs. Judy are a great team. I have never felt more cared for by a medical team. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. He helps me keep it managed very closely. They develop a relationship with their patient. Many people think that doctors should be able to offer a quick, cheap fix for their issues, but I can tell you that it simply is not possible. A relationship must be established and follow-up appointments are needed to relay how your treatment is working for you. You have to establish a link between your primary doctor and any of your specialists so that everyone is on the same page and better able to care for you. Keep up with all of your medications. The pharmacist can offer help with this, as well. Some of your medications may interact with each other and won't always warn the doctor until it is closely monitored by ALL of your doctors. This is called medication reconciliation and is required by all insurance companies that the patient and doctor communicate immediately after changes have been made to your medication list. I hope this helps. If you do not feel right with a particular doctor, do not hesitate to try a different one. It could be someone in the same practice, but call your insurance company to make sure you are covered before scheduling with a different doctor. A referral may be needed, first.
