"If you are a newbie, I would stay far away. They didn't want to answer any of my probing questions (just a few). Everything I threw out was met with "nothing we can do about that and said he would have to replace everything, I just wanted to know in general, if it was worth saving/repairing, or if I should buy a new one. He said there was nothing he could do or say to judge that. Granted, I get he could not possibly know what's wrong with it without "looking under the hood" but I laid out it was an electrical issue. He was not rude, but very short and not friendly, I did not feel welcome, and as I was a new customer right around the corner, potentially I could have been a lifelong loyal CS! Not not!"

"We were traveling to a campsite and were unlucky enough to have a transmission coolant line start leaking but lucky enough to have it happen within sight of Southside Auto Care. The mechanic took us in right away and was able to make a new line from stock on hand. He did an expert job in a relatively short time. He charged us what seemed like not near enough money and our trip was uneventful afterwards. We have nothing but high praise from the experience."

"If I had to give a rating, I'd give 3 stars. Why? I admit the labor prices are fair, but the office manager tends to have a negative attitude that ruins the feel-good experience, even when she's trying to be nice. My experience with Southside Auto has always been that they're too busy to take my money. I need things done on my vehicle, usually the same day due to my busy schedule. To be told that I have to wait until next week to fit me into your schedule isn't going to work for me. The same day or the next day is all the flexibility my schedule will allow. That's not something I've seen that Southside Auto can provide. That's why I go to Belle Tire over by Walmart on the north side of town. I go there because they're professional with NO ATTITUDE, they are flexible to meet YOUR SCHEDULE, and they do great work. They do cost a bit more, but they back up their work with a warranty. I choose to go to Belle Tire to skip the wait and headache, trying to get a better labor price because my time is worth more to me than waiting a week for car repairs when I need to go to work tomorrow and every day after."
