"Very nice room. Comfortable bed. Stayed on 3rd floor. Didn't have no problem with noise. Everything was very convenient. Had a great breakfast at Big Bad Breakfast. Also visited the broiler room in the basement. Had a live singer, 4 bowling lanes, darts, and a full bar. Well worth the visit. This was my 2nd time staying. Would recommend and will be back."

"Location is great, downtown and very accessible if you’re going for Ren fest or something nearby. That’s pretty much where the good points end. Shower sputtered lukewarm water at you while you try to catch enough to bathe with, and no tub so the option of running a soak instead doesn’t exist. Walls were so thin and lacking insulation we could hear neighbors conversations and *everything else*! Add to this that the blanket/cover in the room is some sort of unholy sweat tarp from hades; this was the star of the show. This thing does not breathe and there is no sleeping under this thing. I’m pretty sure you’d have a heat stroke under this thing in the arctic. Every night here was an alternating sweat lodge and cold plunge. Floors are original hardwood and the floors are akin to rolling hills. Our bathroom door had a hump in front you’d trip over if you weren’t careful. Big Bad Breakfast downstairs lives up to its name with dense, hard packed biscuits and overpriced eggs. Never made it down to the boiler-room bar/restaurant; perhaps this is the feature that brought us the recommendation to stay here, but I’ll stay elsewhere and come check out the bar next time. We will not stay here again, especially given the nearly $200 per night for such an uncomfortable stay."

"The wall-mounted air conditioners leak water. There’s no drainage system. The unit had leaked water all over the floor before we arrived, and it kept us awake both nights because it was dripping water. Front desk staff acknowledges the problem but clearly management does not. Other reviewers mention the same. Guys, this is a huge problem and you know it. Even the air conditioners in the hallway are dripping onto the floor. For such an expensive room, there are too many problems that the hotel ignores: no bathroom ventilation, no hand soap, no tissues, no coffee for our second morning. And the air conditioner that drains onto the floor. I would’ve talked to reception about it when we checked out, but nobody was at the desk. For the price, this is a pretty poor hotel."

"When I first walked in the room, it was very nice small but nice. After being in the room for a while and having to turn the air conditioner down to 64 because it was very stuffy in the room. The air conditioning unit is not what I would say is updated. It hangs on the wall really high and blue right down on my side of the bed which for me was fine but someone that does not run hot. They wouldn’t have liked it. It took a long time to cool the room because like I said the air conditioner is not an updated unit. I noticed that one of the walls you could see the tape that they put down to cover the wall joints it was almost like they just had a really thin white wash of paint on the wall. The lighting was probably one of my biggest complaints, unless you were in front of the window lighting to put on make up sucked. The bathroom had no ventilation so it got very hot and steamy and they had to put a doorstop on the bathroom door so it would stay open. Otherwise it kept slamming shut. There was some noise, but nothing that major. My husband and I had a staycation. We had a good time, but considering the talk around town reputation, this hotel had I was a little disappointed."

"Great location in a traditional downtown full of restaurants, bars, music and shopping. Hotel rooms are modern but small. Boiler room bar in basement has a bowling alley. The Big Bad Breakfast sharing the building looks good. And the Flobama bar and stage has live music. They have a that host noisy parties. I stayed there 5 days and not once did they service my room. Strange that they tell you to park at meter and will take care of any tickets."
