"Love this spot. By far the most authentic German atmosphere I've ever been to in Chicago, and I've spent summers in actual Frankfort, Germany. The food was good and filling. While not everything may have been exactly how my oma would have made it it's definitely a nostalgic home away from home place. I can't wait to return especially during a holiday. I will write another review upon return!"

"This place has a great atmosphere, and the service was fantastic. It was Oktoberfest and they had a lively polka band. I remember going here so many times over the years, but the food has really declined. The red cabbage and saurkraut were so bland, no taste. Had some veal schnitzel, it was ok, but nothing to talk about. Someone asked for brown sauce and they basically got that generic brown Gravy you get on an open face at a disappointed. I did really like the potato pancakes. I was pretty dosappointed. Overall."
"Wow! Came here for a bit of a father/brother reunion and it was solid. Rich food accompanied by delicious beer served out of a boot. Music was a bit loud but it was to be expected IMO. Will return for their mushroom schnitzel and pork knuckle!"
