"It has been an up and down experience with my child. We have had teachers that genuinely cared and then some that don't. Maybe they are fed up. IDK There are some pretty rough students but it's not the schools fault its the parents who don't discipline their children. It's not the schools job and it takes away from the other students who behave and are there to learn. Maybe tougher discipline and rules that would affect a parent would help. A teacher can't teach if she spends all her time getting her class under control. Seems that they are taking the steps in making the school better but still needs improvement."

"After teaching here for three years, let me say the staff are fantastic. The school boasts better than average test results all around, and they have a good grasp on student discipline. It may be a large school (more than 800 students, at last count) but they still have a very nice tight-nit community feel. This school serves Jefferson County students in grades 3-5."
