"This place better never go out of business! I’ve lived in mokena area most my life and this tops any restaurant in the area! There fried rice is phenomenal, basil chicken and mini spring rolls are fantastic every time I go! Even my boyfriend loved everything! Staff is so friendly too!"

"Absolutely the best Thai food we've ever had, it was all amazing! We ordered 6 different entrees as it was our 1st time at this restaurant. We loved every single dish and the mango St ky rice was perfect! The owner Joy was wonderful. We'll be back many times as this is our favorite Thai Restaurant!!❤️❤️"

"Wonderful service. We had to dash because I'd lost my ring (we found it if your reading! Haha) so they very swiftly packed up our food and were so sweet. I loved the panang noodles and my husband enjoyed the chicken basil rice."

"UPDATE: Joy of Thai will close for about a month or so starting about October 27. No, they are not going out of business. The owner will travel to their native country to tend to family matters. I hope things go well with them and the family. I offered to do the cooking while they were away. She didn’t take me up on my offer. Oh well...their loss. I had a bright idea of ordering a few items and keep them in the freezer. This should tide me over while they are away. I hope they have a safe trip and return quickly. They are really nice people. — We had a taste for Thai food and today we decided to try someplace different. Joy of Thai is one of three similar type restaurants nearby. Located on the south side of 179th street just east of Wolf Road. It is in a small strip mall, being one of three occupants. We pass by it all the time. Having tried and being unsatisfied with the other restaurants we had eaten from before. This visit was out very first. To keep things simple we ordered pork fried rice and pineapple fried rice, a vegetable dish. Both dishes were prepared fresh, were very tasty, and presented in a different style of dish whereby we could actually see what we purchased. The seasoning used reminded my of Indian food with a slight use of curry. Everything was delicious and I can’t believe I consumed the entire dish; each serving was a few hours apart of course. Would I recommend them? Absolutely. The carryout experience was smooth and easy. Give them a try. You will enjoy it."
