"Twice went to this store with 3 bags of clothes all cleaned naked brand wash then lmk both time going back they claimed first time they smell like cigarette smoke then second time text back immediately saying come get the clothes we don’t even smoke cigarettes the place is absolutely ridiculous and the employees were rude and for second there I liked the store wasted my time coming from Peru to Kokomo to store that I heard was good ."

"I have visited a lot of Platos Closets. This one is my favorite. The prices are far more reasonable than those in bigger, more wealthy cities. They buy more items than other locations. I love their customer service and always feel welcome. Thanks!"

"I called in ahead of time to ask if they were taking drop offs because I live an hour away and I did not want to come if they weren’t taking anything in at this point in the day. They said that I can come drop them off. So I brought in a bag of clean, name-brand clothes, dropped them off, and was told to come back in a few hours. I came back when they told me and I saw the bag was sitting on the floor in the same spot it was in when I dropped it off. We knew which items were on the top layer of the bag and they were laying in the same position/order as when they were dropped off. So clearly the clothes were never sorted through. But the employee we spoke to did not know which items were mine, so she looked through the black bins of clothes that were supposed to be finished from sorting and couldn’t find my clothes, but then she noticed my bag on the ground that had my name tag on it and then said “uhhh I’m sorry- I didn’t personally sort these, but we only take freshly laundered clothes and we weren’t able to take any of these today.” These clothes were not dirty and some of them had never even been worn and still had tags on them. So it was obvious to me that they just didn’t get to my clothes and didn’t bother to tell me that and then just made up the excuse that they weren’t “freshly laundered”. Pretty frustrating since I called ahead and told them I was coming from an hour away and was given the go-ahead to bring them in."

"If you’re looking for a quick outfit at a decent price, Plato’s is your place! They have TONS of options to choose from. Tops, bottoms, dresses, shoes, jewelry, AND men’s!! I love going in to see what I can find next. Every day there’s something new! The employees there always greet us when we go in, and the music is always good!"

"My best friend and I stopped in to check out the Plato’s closet location that had recently opened in Kokomo. The store is pretty bare, but that is to be expected since they have to have time to build up inventory. While we were shopping my friend found a pair of pants that they had marked at 12 but had a clearance tag from target for six also attached. She took the pants to the front and ask them if they would honor the lower price because the tag is still attached to the item, but they basically laughed in her face and said we can just take the tag off now, and would not honor the price or even apologize for the inconvenience and mistake that was made on their part. After she expressed that she would be leaving feedback, reflecting her experience, all of the employees behind the counter, begin making comments and laughing at her while we were still in the fitting rooms and could hear them. It truly wasn’t about the six dollars, it’s the principal and customer service wise they leave a lot to be desired. Because we had already invested time looking through the store before this happened, we still tried on our items and bought what we wanted but I definitely will not be back just based on how horribly our first time went. I decided to leave feedback as well so that this can be taken seriously, addressed and no one else has to be treated disrespectfully while they’re trying to spend their hard earned money to support your job security. We would have preferred an apology or simply acknowledging that the mistake was theirs and that they would try for it to not happen in the future. Instead we were treated poorly and mocked. She is from Ft Wayne and I am from Indianapolis and we don’t have these types of experiences at the Plato’s there. They’re quite the opposite, friendly kind and understanding."
