Reviews
"Our family enjoyed the EarlyWorks Children's Museum so much that we signed up for a year membership after our first visit! I love the atmosphere of this museum that gives children the freedom to explore in so many ways, activating their mind, senses, and emotions, while also relieving some of that pent up energy! No need to be "museum quiet" as children are encouraged to ask questions and talk with one another while enjoying each section and exhibit. The museum is the perfect size, small enough not to get lost but big enough to not get bored with all there is to offer. There are static exhibits and ones that change over the year. There are eating areas, bathrooms with changing areas, areas to sit and relax, and lots of walking pathways. There is something for everyone, from crawling babies to school aged children. Even the adults feel the freedom to be a "kid again" as they help their children build, experiment, and create. I highly recommend checking this museum out, rain or shine, you will enjoy it!"
"This is really a great museum in Huntsville and I’m grateful for it being here and all the volunteers. My grandkids had a great time! My only small complaint, hence the 4 stars, is that we ran into several media/sound items not working, so that was a bummer, but again, grateful for this type of learning available. We really enjoyed the LEGO display that took place that weekend and my grandkids LOVED the old cabin with the fireplace and cast iron cookware. They stayed and played in that for about 45 minutes."
"Pros: - Tons to do! Could easily spend hours here. - I have a 2 and 4 year old and it was perfect for that range. - lots of fun and thoughtful Christmas activities! Cons: - Although I’m sure everything was clean and well cared for, because it’s dated, I was anxious most of the trip. I don’t need everything to be new, but I was definitely overwhelmed with the amount of old toys. I was so uncomfortable when my four year old picked up multiple very old stuffed animals. The talking tree was peeling from where tons of kids had touched him and wasn’t sure he was safe to touch. - the building is also very dated, and made made me wonder about health and safety. In one room alone I could see 3 different carpet/floor patterns and that felt unsafe. - On the whole for such a modern and fast growing city, I was disappointed that the kid’s museum wasn’t more updated. Pairing down on the offering, focusing on safety and clarity of vision, and even better lighting choices could go a long way. If I lived here with things as they are right now, I would not invest in a membership."
"Celebrated our great-granddaughter’s 3rd birthday in the party room. The museum experience was enjoyable for the kids. So much to do. Only issue I had was we were rushed out at 1 pm for the next party who came early and was not given the 30 minutes we were told we had to clean up. We were not told that we had a discount ticket on the party cart for $10 off in store. Our coordinator that was assigned to us was new and was not much help. This experience was new to us too."
"Wow, a really great visit here with the family. Every part of this museum is engaging and there are so many neat things for kids to touch and learn about. We really enjoyed the visit, thought the cost was quite reasonable, and could recommend to others!"
