About the Business
The Birmingham Museum of Art, located at 2000 Rev. Abraham Woods Junior Boulevard in Birmingham, Alabama, is a must-visit tourist attraction and museum. Join one of our BMA Teaching Fellows for a specially designed tour exploring ceramics, paintings, and quilts crafted by highly skilled artists. Unfortunately, the Apr. 7 Sunday DeTour has been cancelled, but will be rescheduled for the summer. Admission is free, and the museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and Sundays from noon to 5pm. Please note that the BMA will close at 3:30pm on Thursday, April 4 for a private event, with normal operating hours resuming on Friday, April 5. Don't miss the chance to explore the incredible artworks at the Birmingham Museum of Art.

You need a whole day here, so many rooms with new thought-provoking history. The collections were impressive. The black hair gallery was disappointing and stereotype. "Great museum though, at the time I went a lot of the rotating collections were being installed. Still, I really enjoyed the experience. The staff is friendly and professional and the building is beautiful. I really enjoyed the sculpture garden and Wedgwood collection. Definitely recommended if you're in Birmingham."
