Shake Shack Birmingham

"The food was good. If you get the Shack Attack chocolate concrete you better like chocolate. It is very very rich. I liked it so much that I forgot to take a picture of it. The fries are very good. I think it is the way they do the crinkles that makes them unique. The burger is decent. The hot dog is nothing to write home about but it was tolerable. I would say the food is worth a visit. When you come into the store for the first time don’t be surprised if you don’t get a greeting from a person. You place your order on a computer screen and pay with a card-reader. They will text you when your order is ready. Both times they notified me that the food was ready it was a false alarm and I had to stand waiting for a few minutes. It was no big deal but the whole thing is very impersonal. Some people like that so it is what it is. I2024 update. The ordering system is still confusing. Its all overrated now."

"We love Shake Shack and it's always busy. The food is always fresh and the orders accurate. The only problem is the hoards of older teens who take over all of the order screens, laughing, giggling & playing around and without any concern for the line growing behind them. This has happened several times at this location and it's frustrating for the customers and staff. These young women are late high school age and should know better. I hope management is willing to protect their employees & better serve the customers by requiring these girls use 1-2 screens and quickly place their order for the convenience of the rest of us."

"Food was great! Very filling. Liked the regular fries more than the cheese fries but everything was great from burgers to fries to shake!"

"This was such a waste of time and money. And boy did I use a lot of both! 20 bucks for a teensy tiny sandwich (with a bun containing eggs, which I disclosed I had an allergy to!), fries fried in old oil with no seasoning, and a bland as hell shake. The poor staff didn't know how to handle a Friday night rush, and had very little tact (poor lady up front was sweating like crazy, stressed at the amount of work and the line of people waiting), and there was no front of the house staff, only kiosks. I will never return here, even tho I live walking distance from this place."

"I first tried Shake Shack in Chicago and forgot that there was a restaurant in Birmingham. I mean , the food i decent but nothing to scream about. The restaurant is extremely busy and crowded,certainly on Saturday when I visited. Just another burger joint to me. Customer service was however decent and pretty fast."
