"I was looking for some good Fish and Chips and decided on this restaurant. It was my first time there - the place was so quiet and clean! Service was great and the food was delicious! We will be back and we highly recommend the brussel sprouts appetizer!"
"Went on 1/20/23 around 1 pm. Got the fish and chips and the Anvil Burger. The fish and chips were good. The burger was awful. The bottom bun was soaking wet like it had been sitting in water and it was quite frankly bland. But that's not the reason for the bad score. Our waiter took our order and we never saw him again until we were finished. My wife ate her entire meal without anything to drink (she finished her water before food arrived.) I guess the cook brought our food out we told him we needed water, salt and malt vinegar but we never got any of that. It was some of the worst service I've had in a while. I tipped anyway but this is part of the reason people don't tip well anymore."
"Anvil has great food and ok drinks. I wasn't thrilled with either cocktail I ordered although our bartender was great and bent over backwards to please. Our waiter was amazing and gave spot-on recommendations which we really appreciated. Ended the meal with a decadent dessert and had a most enjoyable evening."
