"I drove all the way over here for my lunch, and it was closed. I'd heard good reviews and decided to try it out. I called first to see what was the daily menu, but no one answered. I figured it was because they may be crowded and drove there anyway. NOPE. They were closed. When I googled everything was a go, showing opened. It also shows online they serve breakfast, but nope. I was just trying to find another soul food restaurant to add to my list, but inconsistency is a major turn off."

"Under new management A-la-carte. Had the beef tips and rice with Collars greens, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese, with a piece of corn bread. Clean and presentable inside. Small and very intimate space with light entertainment while you wait. Has a restroom as well. Desserts are available, we tried the red velvet cake. It was moist and very flavorful, not homemade. The portions were small compared to the price. Each side was $1.50 to $2.50. Serve beverage and tea. The Staff were pleasant."

"Decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. Oxtail is very tasty, not too salty, and very tender, not tough at all! The cabbage was on point also. Ms. Kathy the owner was very friendly. Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior, come in for some truly amazing home cooked southern food."
