"I just read Sears version of the "repair" call. It shows "my signature". The "signature" was nothing but up and down lines...there was not a hint of a letter such as an "a" . It was totally fabricated. I was never given anything to sign. I never signed anything. I was never told what he was going to do before and after he didn't tell me what he did. So pretty much everything that was in that report was not true. Why was it necessary to say I signed when I did not? What was the reason behind that farce?"

"I purchased a GE washer that had many cycles which I loved and used for over a year. Recently the washer stopped draining and spinning out. When I called the warranty company they sent two young men from Sears. After telling me they cd find nothing wrong they gave me a lecture on how to use the washing machine. They said I cd no longer fill the washer up past medium and I cd not use the other functions, only normal wash. With that said why did I buy a washer with bells and whistles that I can no longer use. Of course I used the washer per their instructions and guess what, it still does not drain and spin. I have called back for another technician and I was told it will be at least another week before they can send someone. So you ask me if I’m satisfied, you take a guess."

"First technician did not even bother to call. Doesn’t give a very good window of when you’re actually going to show up. Telling people you’re going to be there between 8 and 5 PM is unrealistic. in all fairness, the second technician the next day did call and was able to confirm when he would show up. The price of diagnostic was reasonable but it’s probably a lot cheaper to just go ahead and buy a new one."

"The repairman who came to the house was very kind and knowledgeable and was able to tell me very quickly what was wrong with my washing machine. That's why you got any stars at all. The price is highway robbery. We were quoted $500 for the repair (approximately$200 for the parts and $300 for labor). We declined because we could have bought a new one for that much, and a 10 year old machine with no warranty isn't worth that. To be honest, neither is the home appliance warranty they tried to sell me. But I guess that's what Sears is aiming for. So I paid $109 for a person to tell me what was wrong with my machine. My husband found the 2 parts (new) fairly easily for $65 and repaired it himself. It took about 10 minutes. If you are keeping track, that is $175 instead of $500+ if Sears had done the repair. Sears used ti be so good at everything. It's no wonder they are doing so poorly and are practically nonexistent now."

"Christopher G did not seem interested in fixing our issue... every answer was "It should.." or "maybe." instead of attempting to make sure the washing machine was working. Christopher G left a puddle of water in our laundry room and did not inform us. He was not sure if the problem was fixed he just assumed it was when he didn't hear a rattle sound anymore. I'm no expert but I think a test wash cycle should have been performed to make sure it drains correctly. Now it's still not draining and it’s leaking underneath. Before he left he told my husband. "to call back if it's not working"… this could have been avoided if he made sure it was working before he left. **UPDATE*** 11/20/23 New appt was scheduled for today. I was going to go to work late because it said est arrival would be 10:55. When it got close to 10, I noticed the time changed to 2:10pm. I called into work to let them know I wouldn’t make it. At that point I’m already mad cause I have to miss work. Then 2:00 comes around I notice no one has called or reached out so I start calling them. I go through the automated system and it says I don’t have an appointment today. I’m confused now. When I hang up I get a call from them saying that the tech had to leave and now they have to reschedule to WEDNESDAY! That is not my problem. How is there no one else to come out?! Now I’m even more pissed because not only did I miss a day of work for NOTHING I’m going to have to do the same Wednesday. I asked if I can be the first one since the inconvenience and was told “I’ll put it in the notes.” This is unacceptable, unprofessional and wrong. American home shield needs to change who they use for their repairs!"
