"Wintzell's Oyster House is a breeze to reach from Interstate 65, and it's a culinary gem worth the stop. The fried okra, crispy and delightful, set the stage for a flavorful experience. The seafood pasta, adorned with beautiful scallops and plentiful shrimp, was a highlight. Perfectly cooked pasta and a flavorful Alfredo sauce made it a memorable dish. The red beans and rice, featuring blackened chicken and Conecuh sausage, hit all the right notes. As for the sweet finale, the bread pudding was nothing short of amazing – a perfect conclusion to a delightful meal. A special shout-out to our server, who added to the positive experience, and patio dining was made even better with our pup Spike. Wintzell's delivers not just on the plate but also in creating a welcoming atmosphere. A must-visit for those craving delicious Southern fare."

"The Gumbo was good But it had the Smallest Shrimp I've ever seen. Bloody Mary was good but didn't have the fancy stuff that it usually has. Love the Pickled Green beans. Prices were very reasonable too. I'm a Top 10 Reviewer for Google Maps and I Recommend this Place."

"They have lost my business at this location. The last 2 visits have been beyond horrible. Sat for over 5 minutes. A family of 10 were sat and drink orders taken. I had to go to the bar for service. My waitress was sitting at a table eating. In plain view of me. Food was dry and tired. It had been sitting for longer than I sat at the table."

"Bri took really good care of us! We loved the food. Everything we had was so tasty. We were in town for 5 days and ate here 3 days out of the 5! The soft shell crab was amazing! The jambalaya was so good The sampler plate was what I had and it was so good! Deep fried pickles were amazing and the bloody Mary was superb!"

"We were greeted and sat immediately. Our server was promt, fast, and friendly. The establishment was clean. We had the chargrilled oysters and they were very delicious as well as the fried green tomatoes. My husband had a cup of gumbo and he said it was tasty. The lunch special was stuffed flounder and it was yummy and so was the shrimp and grits. I like the grits alot. Needless to say we'll be back."
