The American Ranch House is a family-style restaurant located at 1600 Pinson Valley Parkway in Birmingham, Alabama. We have recently moved into the neighborhood, but our warm and friendly atmosphere has made us feel like we've been here forever.
At American Ranch House, we serve Southern-style cuisine that is sure to satisfy everyone in your family. From wings and chef salads to gigantic baked potatoes and classic meat and three options, we have something for every taste.

"Good place for quick meals like hot wings, burgers, fries, shrimp. Butttttt..... they've got southern style comfort foods for those who want the whole shabang!!! The portion sizes are very large, two people can eat from one plate depending on the size of the appetite. I will say they could spend more man power keeping the lobby / dining area spotless. As we had to wipe off our table and seats at our booth. I hope they will decide to put as much effort into this as they place in preparing the delicious food. No one wants good food served to them, and you sit on a trash can to eat it."
"My first review was deleted for some reason. Will never again come here. They must have paid for those good reviews because my experience was awful. I asked for everything on the side and they charged 50 cents to do that and then slipped a lb each of ketchup mustard and mayo on this scrawny chicken breast. I wiped the mess off and it was like rubber. It was nasty. First and last time there"
"Stopped in here on our way to get some auto parts from across the street. I've been recommended it before but this was my first time going. It's unassuming but delicious. Quick service, great variety, and stellar food. It's a traditional meat and 3 along with a full menu of American cuisine. Burgers, wings, etc. It's the best of this type of restaurant I've been to, and I have been to plenty. Also the prices and portions are extremely good."
"This is the real deal. I came to visit Alabama to try some of their famous southern style. Most places were ok but this one was above it. Restaurants can trick the tourists with their location but this place does not. It is located in a non touristy area and it has a continuous non stop flow of customers. People come because it is good."
