"I give give stars because my dad wears a size seven men's shoes and he has not been able to find any anywhere except online. When we got to Academy and saw that they had several size sevens to choose from, he was so happy that he had a selection to choose from. Thanks!"
"So long story short, my regular bow was stolen. I go to get another because no where else is open so that I can hunt. You are not allowed to draw a bow back and see if it’s comfortable or NOT. I understand people dry fire and shouldn’t be left unlocked. But even with an employee standing there, you can’t check them out. You are forced to purchase and then if you don’t like the said bow, no returns. This is ridiculous and someone needs to get this addressed."
"I recently placed an online order for a pool table and got a text my order was ready for pickup. I drove 45 minutes one way to the Decatur, AL Academy location only to be told that no one there could operate a forklift to get my order down and I would have to come back the next day. There should be at least one employee there who is able to operate a forklift or AT LEAST have the common courtesy to call and explain that no one is there to actually get your order down even though an automated text was sent just because the item is in stock. I am very frustrated I wasted my time and gas driving to the store. Customer service is lacking and could use improvement!"
"The store is well-ordered. It's very pricey because they carry only name brand merchandise. I didn't notice any store brand, but that's not to say that they don't have a store brand. I just didn't see any. It's all very nice sportswear since it is name brand. They seem to have most anything sports and a good selection of outdoor equipment, including hunting guns and archery."
"I zipped in there with a friend, who was in need of a long compression sleeve. Dave assisted her in selecting the correct size. We left after paying, with it on her arm. Great one on one service!!!"
