"The food quality has gone down. Understaffed, hired a person who SAd people, has no options for vegan/vegetarian/gluten free people. Water machines are always down, coffee machines are always down, ice cream machine never works. Sometimes only one option a day of food. Times are so weird and if you live on campus and have no car, say goodbye to eating breakfast on the weekends! Also, they close at 2 for 2.5 hours. Along with other reasons, of course, the caf is one of my main reasons I want to transfer."
"The Montevallo cafeteria needs to improve their menu. They should always have pizza, burgers and ice cream available."
"I was surprised at the nice selection of entrees and vegetables. Favorites such as chicken fingers, fries, and pizza were also available. Everything was seasoned well and had good flavor. There was a fresh fruit and salad bar that was of high quality. A few different dessert options were also available, so I sampled the peach cobbler parfait and oatmeal raisin cookies. Both were very tasty. There was a large selection of fountain drinks and juices. Everything was modern and clean and very comfortable. It was the best dining hall food I've ever had and was better than most buffets and cafeterias I've been too. UM students are fortunate to have such a great dining hall. I would go back in a minute."
"I usually love coming in for breakfast but the past few times I have gotten scrambled eggs, they weren’t cooked all the way and there were only a few edible bites. Everything else is normally fine."
"This is a very hidden gem located in the University of montevallo. Most locals do not even realize It is open to all. Buffet style food. Very reasonable price. Limited menu and operation during the summer hours. Extensive breakfast bar during school season."
