"We would not know how the food was. We sat there an hour and did gets drinks, but never seen the waitress again. Now I will say when we walked in they were busy. But about 10 minutes after sitting down a lot of people did leave. So fast forward an hour. We sat there with 2 kids that were out of their drinks, and starving, and people who came in behind us were getting their food. Now that being said we decided to just leave. I did however stop at the counter and offer to pay for the drinks we had and the girl behind the register, as I tell her we waited an hour, proceeds to tell me that yes they do take a while because they take call in orders and make them as they come in. So that's why it was taking so long.... with a super rude attitude. Now that was our first and last time to go to mama jeans. I really wish the experience would have been better because we live so close to this place. But since I was so rudely told that apparently if you call you get your food before the people inside do. WONT GO BACK!!!"
"I called a week in advance to order 2 pans of cooked chicken and dressing for Christmas. It was ready on 12/23 at 4 PM as promised. ($40 per pan; feeds 12-15 per pan). The food was very good and the service was excellent. Great meat & 3 and country breakfast restaurant."
"Wonderful experience there! Comfortable, simple restaurant. The food is just like good home cooking and I thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Staff are terrific! I wish there was a place like this closer to home, it would be my favourite hang out. Looking forward to going there again one day soon."
"We were on our way to a church event in Florence and decided to stop and eat here. The food was delicious down home cooking. We left full and satisfied. We would definitely recommend anyone going through this area to stop in and give it a try. If you love good old country cooking, you won’t be disappointed. I had the meatloaf, creamed potatoes, green beans, & fried okra. Their fried okra was the best ever! The prices are extremely reasonable."
"I was craving chicken livers and my husband stopped here to get take out. They were super busy, but as expected on a Sunday afternoon. I had chicken livers, green beans, fried okra, and corn bread. Everything was really good and you can't beat the price. I was surprised it was so cheap. It's pretty close to our house so we will definitely be going here again. Good southern soul food."
