"Many waterfalls you can climb around on. About .5 mile hike through rather difficult terrain. The kids had fun but gave us a few grey hairs."

"At this point you've hike 4/10 of a mile in moderate to challenging hilly terrain along the banks of the Dead River. The woods also hold great beauty. You've past a series of beautiful waterfalls that include Upper Dead River Falls, Dead River Falls. Hope is perhaps the most striking and definitely worth the effort to reach. Bring lunch, enjoy the sound of falling water and watching the wildlife from the top of the falls. It's paradise!"

"Hard to know where Dead River Falls ends and Hope's Falls begin. I didn't realize there was another named fall beyond Dead River Falls, but I'm glad we continued to hike up. There are some spots where you need to cross the river on planks or logs. Make sure to stop and look at the minnows and tadpoles with any kids in the side pools."

"Beautiful, tougher hike in tho, need to be able to handle steep uneven terrain. Good swimming holes below the falls. Great on a hot day!!"

"Nestled amongst many other falls and rapids along the river, this scenic overlook of a spot will leave you wanting to park it and just stare for hours. No matter the weather, rain or shine (though by careful during ice and snow) these falls will give you breath-taking photos and videos. A great place to stop on vacation, to throw up a hammock and take a nap, or even just watch the tranquility around you. The walk can be difficult for some, and the terrain may not be suitable for all dogs, so be extra careful when visiting!"
