Costco Optical Department

"Extremely standoffish and rude employees. Wasn't able to drop off a prescription using a parents card even though I've NEVER had this issue at any other costco locations or even this one before. Wont be back... why would I pay another $150 bucks to have two cards in the house??"

"Trying to bring our prescription over to Costco to get filled. I thought we had basic questions. My prescription requires something called prism, which I had been told not all labs can incorporate. I simply called to ask “can your lab incorporate prism in the lens?” All I got in response was “I need to see the prescription” “Do you carry X brand of frames for my son?” (Indestructible frames so he doesn’t break 4 pairs again this year.) “No. I don’t even know what that is.” was her reply. Horrible customer service and completely unlike other Costco departments."

"I'm sure the glasses are great because I've heard a lot of good things about their quality, but I didn't even get that far. I was given attitude when I asked a few questions about the lenses and their options. I'd gladly pay more for friendlier service."

"(Review of optometrist only) Dr. Leppek was nice and professional. The visit required an appointment but went very quickly. I was ten-fifteen minutes late but they weren't upset. There were forms to fill out, as usual. It cost $95 for the visit and a retinal exam. There was a machine instead of getting my eyes dilated (that would have been $20 cheaper). No credit cards, cash or check only. I left with an itemized receipt to try to get a reimbursement from VSP. I didn't use the optical shop yet, but it was packed and many people were in line (around 2pm). Frames were $49.99 up to $109.99+. Many of the selections were $59.99."
