"Had some bad luck with this shop. I bought a full suspension bike somewhere else and brought it there for service, they said it was no problem that I didn't buy from them. The repair they performed did not fix the problem. One of the guys working there was rude to me. Another employee seemed surprised that his coworker was rude and pulled me aside and recommended another shop. The new shop was great and was not surprised on how lousy motor city's repair was."

"Ian was excellent. He demo’d everything for me , so I could understand how it all worked. Absolutely no pressure, and had my new Aventon assembled and ready to go in 48 hours. Rode 13 miles on day one and had a blast. I highly recommend motor city bicycle, Ian and staff to anyone looking for a new bike and great experience."

"My favorite local bike shop in the area. Always very helpful. Great technicians. Awesome deals! Update (10/23/22): New shop is big, beautiful and stocked up. Had a new Epic Evo shipped there and within a few days the guys at Motor City Bicycle had it setup just the way I liked it, plus tubeless and an updated cassette. Very fast and friendly service."

"This place is awesome. Ian was very helpful with a warranty issue I had. He worked with the Zipp and got me sorted within a week. Very happy with this shop and with Zipp. In addition, he was very knowledgeable about other products and took the time to share his knowledge with me. This will definitely be my go to LBS."

"Update May 14: Regarding the below mishap with the rear derailleur, the manager has contacted me and offered to give the bike a complete look over and replace the rear derailleur. They were very cordial and very serious about customer satisfaction. They replaced the rear derailleur with a new one. (They did not have to) I understand people make mistakes. Motor City bicycles did the right thing. Motor City bicycles know how to treat the customers right, and with that, customers will keep coming back. I hope they grow and keep up the good customer service quality. Initial review: Disappointed that my bike was built incorrectly by this store, and it is a 4k bike. Took my bike to Moab after purchase and the bike mechanic over there was looking at it he questioned some amateur home mechanic built the bike. For one, the chain was routed incorrectly through the jockey wheel cage, which grinded partially through the jockey wheel cage. I only realized this after 100+ miles of riding. I mean, a professional bike shop built it, so I had no reason to doubt, but this was shocking. Second, the section of the derailleur cable going to the derailleur was too long which snagged on some obstacles. The Moab mechanic shortened the cable telling me that the cable does not need to be this long and that I was asking for trouble riding like this. These are some rookie mistakes and should not happen at a reputable bike shop. I hope this was just a fluke and mistakes like this do not happen again on other customers’ bikes."
