"Here’s a few things to think about before you decide to move here that the leasing office won’t tell you. I’ve been living here for about exactly 2 weeks now and my experience living here has been very disappointing so far. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment complex to anyone. While the rent may seem cheap, the poor maintenance and unsafe conditions make it a bad value. There are dead bugs in each room of every corner especially near the vents. The buildings are old and unkept, inside and out. Many things are broken or don't work properly, like the washers, dryers, bedroom doors, and my toilet, which clogs every single time I use it. My bedroom door doesn’t close all the way, windows don’t seal all the way so you can hear wind and cars driving by all night. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear your neighbors clear as day. The walls and floors are damaged, with chipped paint and splatters everywhere. The community feels unsafe, the only good thing about it are all of the stores around here. If you value safety, cleanliness, and functionality, I urge you to look elsewhere. This complex falsely advertises as "luxury" when it is far from it. I have had to submit many maintenance requests already. 7 work orders in the last 2 weeks that I’ve been here. If that doesn’t tell you anything I don’t know what does. One issue I had was with my blinds, they wouldn’t open correctly the first time so we asked maintenance to fix it only for us to call them again a second time because they installed it incorrectly the first time and I still wasn’t able to use my blinds. (Currently still not able to use blinds.) Another issue was with the heat, my apartment was freezing cold one day so I put in a work order. After a day or two, I called the emergency maintenance line and then they finally came to fix it. A day or so after, my apartment was getting very hot, I wasn’t able to sleep and it was very frustrating especially having to work the next morning. So the next day my fiancé went into the basement to look at the furnace and he realized it was on all day and the day previously which was why our apartment was getting hotter and hotter. He said if it goes past a certain temperature in our apartment the entire building could potentially blow or something bad could happen because of the furnace. At this point, we’re already 2 weeks in but I’m ready to leave yesterday. Unfortunately, in our circumstances we can’t. Regardless of all these simple tasks these issues were either sloppily repaired or they just remain unresolved. I don’t regret signing the lease here but I just wish Lexington village took care of their tenants with more care. I hope this honest review steers others away from this disappointing apartment complex. Every day it’s something new with this place.They don’t care for you, so I’d just advise you to look elsewhere for your sanity and sake."

"lol, like I really hate this place. I been here for 2 years. Rent goes up every year, of course. The washers and dryers are always broken but “that’s not their property.” You literally have to call the 800 number yourself. Oh, and they have mice. Trash bins are always messy, trash bags everywhere. Cars got broken into numerous times. From the office to the maintenance people, everything sucks. All they do is collect rent because everything seems “out of their control.” I wouldn’t even recommend for a first time apartment. It’s giving ghetto, hood. Stay away! Update. Still hate it here."

"This place is miserable. Not sure how they're rated so high, but wouldn't surprise me if they delete negative reviews. DO NOT LIVE HERE. The nicest thing about this place is the location. That's it. Neighbors are always yelling. I can speak for my building and the two that were near me. I couldn't open the windows without hearing arguing from a neighboring building. Do you like ordering things online? Don't. Your package will be stolen. They like to e-mail "reminders" about keeping the common building door shut and locked, but for the two years that I did live there, the doors on both sides were broken and anyone could come and go as they please. They will steal your money. My lease ended on the 15th. They still charged me for the full month of rent. When I brought that up on my move out day, they told me it would be sent in the letter that also included my security deposit. Told me not to worry about it and that they are very fast at sending the letter out and I wouldn't have a problem. Still waiting on that letter in the mail a month later. They nickel and dime you. One of the reasons that I chose to live there was because they offered free utilities and that the only thing that I would have to pay is DTE. Surprise, they changed companies and started charging for all of that, with no real way of knowing how much water I actually used. I was charged for water when I had left my apartment for over three weeks. Somehow, my water bill was just the same as it always was. They will put you on blast and email everyone in the complex about it. This wasn't me, but a resident was getting a warning about the upkeep on their apartment. How do I know that? Because they sent me, and everyone else on the mailing list that email. They had pictures of this person's apartment and were threatening eviction. They quickly sent a follow up email that said to disregard the first one, but never actually took any blame or fault for the lack of competence. The maintenance team is wonderful. They are the only positive about that place. They are polite, timely, and get the work done quick. It's better than nothing, but that's it. If you have options, do not pick this place. It is a joke."

"I have been living at Lexington Village for a few months and it is great! I really like the area and it is close to my job. My leasing agent was Betsy and she was really a great person to work with. I haven't had any issues with the apartment. It is an older apartment, but they take good care of it."
