Elliott Park Apartments

"RENTERS BEWARE. I’ve rented for over 15 years and this is hands down the worst properties I’ve ever lived it. In no particular order: 1. Broken air conditioning. Management allowed us to move into a unit without notifying us the air conditioning did not work properly. Did they know from the previous tenant? Still not fixed but it’s now winter. After repeated phone calls and service requests when we moved in, with no resolution, we were told by property management that “I wish I was able to assist you better…” 1.5 When the “air conditioning” unit is on, it sounds like a freight train in the living room. Nearly impossible to relax or hold a normal conversation. Poor design ensures the noise goes directly into the apartment instead of outside. 2. Broken fridge on move in. Management was notified of our fridge leaking inside. They failed to address this for months. Fridge eventually stopped working completely. All our food spoiled and we are living without a fridge. Management blames a warranty issue rather than their months of inaction. We’ve been without a working fridge for weeks. 3. Overflowing dumpsters. Management has blamed “holidays” for overflowing dumpsters but it’s odd how the trash pickup day wasn’t simply moved to another day. This has resulted in trash being strewn about the property and nearby green space due to animals rummaging through the trash. 4. Broken washer and dryer. The pipes allegedly froze during the winter which resulted in us having to go to a nearby laundromat to do our laundry. Strange problem to have for a brand new building. Washer worked again after several days. Dryer eventually fixed but still dries slower than you’d prefer. 5. Exceptionally loud inside the apartments due to proximity to Rochester Rd. They constructed this in a way that does not comfortably keep out road noise. 6. No lock out services after hours. If you lock yourself out? Good luck. 7. Drafty closet. Seems like it is poorly insulated. 8. The large walk-in closet featured in the artists rendering (though granted, you’re warned it’s not necessarily accurate) is nothing but a giant empty room. It would have been exceptionally easy to put the bare minimum effort into making it a somewhat functional clothing closet. Will continue to periodically update this review."

"This property has some of the only newly updated one bedrooms in the Clawson area. It’s super close to Royal Oak and has in-unit washer and dryer which is rare in the area!"
