When good people are committed to serving both tourism visitors and neighborhood residents alike, well, it just doesn't get any better than that. Deedee and Dawn both make you feel comfortable and welcome. They are available and helpful without being obtrusive. Their presence makes you feel good to be in the store. But most of all, I have found the Wine Shop to be a vital part of the West Side neighborhood. Somehow, you feel like you belong here. How do you put a value on that? So, yes, there is more here than you would ever expect: great wine and whiskey selections, samplings, extraordinary homemade meals in the cooler, cheese, sausage, specialty beers,snacks, an incredible collection of home goods, an ever-evolving inventory artistically displayed... Because I respect the integrity of what DeeDee is doing with this business, I have decided to always consider Madison Avenue Wine Shop as my first shopping choice.
