"We bought our first refinished sideboard from The Second Story a few years ago and keep coming back for more! Angela does beautiful work and picks quality furniture to refinish. Highly recommend!!"
"I was lucky enough to find the Second Story furniture refinishing store on Facebook and decided to take a chance on having some tables painted. I am so happy with the results, that I came back 2 more times! The results are fantastic and I can't say enough about the owner, Angela. She took the time to discuss what colors would work best in my home and she was right. I'm now thinking of having my dining room chairs painted. I am thrilled with this store and I will be back."
"I have purchased several pieces of furniture and have had a few of my own updated as well. I love them all! The business owner is a true artist. She takes outdated pieces of furniture and makes them look amazing. Instead of buying new, cheap wood or MDF furniture, I prefer buying older, well built furniture that has been updated to fit the current home decor trends. If you have something outdated in your home, I definitely recommend reaching out to see how it can be updated!"
"I decided to wait a few months after purchasing a piece from this place so I could give an honest review of the owners work. I used to flip furniture myself so I have a good idea as to what goes into the furniture flipping process. After buying this piece the paint started to peel immediately. Yup, peel. I’m guessing latex paint. I rubbed my finger over a spot and the paint came off. This was more than likely due to no sanding, no primer before applying paint, one thin uneven coat of paint and the lack of a top coat to finish and protect the piece. Yes, you read that correctly owner only applied one coat of paint and you can visibly see through the uneven coat of paint. Near the top of the piece and on a few drawers you can see just how rushed this piece was. Overall, I’m highly disappointed in this piece and wished I really checked it before purchasing. It’s only been a few months and I’ll have to refinish it myself because it’s starting to look incredibly awful. Personally, I would not purchase from this place again but do your own research and really look at the piece before you buy."
"It’s a nice small mom and pa shop! We got a 4 piece dresser set and we’re able to barter the price down. They also saran wrapped it all up for us and helped us load it up!"
