"Nasty, dirty store. Aisles were full of discarded stuff, and it was just sitting there- no one was working. There was one clerk at the cutting table with a long line and one clerk at checkout with an even longer line! I got the spool of thread I came in for and did not even look around for any thing else- Do better JoAnns!"

"I was in the store on September 11, 2023 and 1:52pm is the time I checked out. I just wanted to address the female cashier who rang me up for my items. Having been a former employee for a number of years, I assume management can still retrace the timeline to pinpoint the exact cashier it was on register 12 at this date/time? I know she means well but she makes people (not just myself but the customers in front of me as well as my husband) uncomfortable when she starts trying to turn EVERY SINGLE ITEM she rings up into a pun. And she doesn't take people's facial expressions or body language as a que that maybe she should just continue ringing them up without pausing to then make a sentence out of the item she has in her hand. We had to fake laugh at every pun she made and when I tell you it was awkward for us, it was awkward 12 times because that's the number of items we purchased and that's the number of times she tried to turn each item into a pun that, bless her heart, was not funny nor did we care for it. My husband's patience was wearing thin and our toddler was in tow so understandably you'd think she'd get the hint and drop the act. We were in a rush to get scrapbook items for a class project for our daughter's preschool and then rush to get our sons off their school bus. I surely hope someone can address this cashier and just let her know that not every one has the time to sit there for 3 times as long as normal to fake laugh at her puns to spare her feelings nor the need for a lengthy, drawn out social interaction. Be kind. Be polite. Do your job but don't make customers uncomfortable or make them wait longer than necessary to get their shopping done. ESPECIALLY WHEN THIS LOCATION ONLY HAS ONE CASHIER UP FRONT CHECKING PEOPLE OUT. This is why so many people opt for self check outs because cashiers like this can't just do their job without being "extra" and making people uncomfortable all whilst making everyone in line behind them wait for more than twice as long."
