"Got there five minutes before closing on a Wednesday and doors were locked. Could clearly see employees inside, and they could see me knocking on the door. Just lazy and closed early. Disappointing. Be interested to see if the company replies to this review. Got a reply back. Actually, it was really a non reply. Impersonal auto reply. Expect basic personal customer service. Not what I got here."
"Today I needed a mirror for my 2005 Pontiac Bonneville. I called Pep Boy's Store #2 in Portage, Mi. It was my lucky day! I spoke with Howard and even though he no longer could find a replacement, he helped me find it online. He also found the perfect size gas can for me. Howard was what every customer service person should strive to be. He was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and went beyond just answering the phone. So if you are a female and need some help with car stuff...Howard is the man you need to speak with. He will not laugh or belittle you for not knowing terms. He will help you until your problem is resolved."
"First, the clerk nearly kept my card. I had to remind her to return it. Second, I called yesterday to see if I was credited for a part returned and I am not sure I will be credited for it. Not good! (They tried to tell me to contact my credit union.) It's not likely I will shop there again."
"Absolutely a life saver! Quinten is a gem and truly saved my tail on more than one occasion. Most recently helping get the right parts for my mother-in-law’s 2005 Ford Focus. I had already went to Advance and Auto Zone and was sold the wrong Alternator and Serpentine TWICE! Quinten right away realized the issues was this was a California emissions car which made it have different alternator, serpentine belt, etc. With his help and truly listening to my needs, he was able to end my 2 week trip down the rabbit hole. Thanks Quinten!"
"Went in with a few questions as I’m not a car guy. Quinten helped me with all of the questions I had and even made a “go lions” comment as I had on my lions shirt. Not being a car guy going into these types of stores is somewhat intimidating. It was nice to be put at ease and have all my questions answered at the same time. I will for sure be back in the future. Thanks again."
